on the one hand squirrels have such a habit of saving. they store up huge amounts of nuts.
on the other, lions usually only go hunt and kill something when they get hungry.
basically, you could make the argument that squirrels are better prepared for the long run. What if something comes up and the lion can't find shit to eat? he's fucked cus he didnt save anything for later....
however, in a sense its a good idea. See what happens to the squirrels in these conditions is they end up losing a lot of the nuts they collected. the trees where the squirels invested their nuts were heavily invested in shady cdo's (specifically water-backed securities). basically, when the winter came and all the water froze and became illiquid, the trees tanked. this all happened before the shift from 100k to 250k fdic insurance, so the squirrels suffered huge losses. basically, all the squirrels work was for nothing. they collected all those nuts for nothing.
